Joe…can I please get the recipe to the biscuits and gravy Annie made when I visited you guys? I got it in my head that THAT is what I’m craving, and all I can think of is that. Well, that and Thai food. For some reason, I am not craving fish, or meat, or greasy foods at all. I crave veggies…and spiciness!!!! Creamy stuff too–cottage cheese (I know you don’t eat or use dairy products, but is there anything “creamy” in your recipe bank that can satify this craving?)
Thanks, your pregnant friend…k
Every month we do the class we add the recipes we’re learning that month to the meal plan. And we change the Bible verse. So there are slight changes. The recipes for that month are in bold on the meal plan.
Wheat berries are the whole wheat grain. Dry is how you would buy them in the bulk section of the grocery (And that’s probably the best place to get them). One of my favorites! It actually sweetens as it sprouts so it’s a perfect fit for a fruit salad. Also good in your green salads.
@Linda: Sorry the amount for Braggs is not mentioned on the Bright Brown Rice recipe card! I’ll fix that. It is supposed to be 2 teaspoons. Thanks for asking!
I would still like the recipe to the biscuits–I have the gravy recipe, but not the biscuits…
Also, I found an AWESOME recipe for Quinoa…
here’s the link: http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/quinoa-and-black-beans/Detail.aspx
I added tomatoes and red pepper to it though, and instead of frozen corn, I used canned–it was all I had at the time. But it was so yummy–the cumin added a great taste to it. Hope you all enjoy!
I saw the article in yesterday’s paper & I’m very interested in attending your monthly cooking classes. Is there any way to register ahead of time or should I just show up? Can you give me the dates? Thank you!
@Joan Lack: Thanks for stopping by. I’ve updated the picture on our Health page to include information about the upcoming Simple Health Class. We don’t have pre-registration, but letting me know casually, like this, is helpful. Thank you. Looking forward to meeting you July 11th!
I saw you in the paper andI would love to attend some of your classes. Do I need to email you when I will be coming? Thanks, everything looks scrumptous!
Tryed the cashew mac cheese tonight. VERY yummy. Used Quinoa shells instead of whole wheat. Thank you for these recipes. Thank you for this ministry. Can’t make it to the classes, but will be trying the recipes posted online. May our heavenly father bless you with wisdom and creativity as you minister in the recipes for health realm. Thank you.
We read the newspaper article and would like to attend your July 11th class. We have the books: “The China Study” by T. Colin Campbell and “This Crazy Vegan Life” by Christina Pirello. We are also trying (about 80% successful), but shopping is a nightmare.
@John & Pat: Looking forward to seeing you at Sunday’s class. Maybe we can talk about your shopping nightmares. I’d love it if you introduced yourselves to me!
